"Mia...?" Jay's confusion deepened as he peered into her eyes, which seemed strangely devoid of life.

Concern etched across his face, he reached out a hand, gently touching her arm. "Are you alright?" he asked, his voice tinged with worry. But to his dismay, Mia remained silent, her gaze fixed on some unseen horizon.

His voice became more urgent as he called out to her repeatedly, each time with increasing desperation.

Frustration mingled with fear as Jay grasped Mia's shoulders and gave her a gentle shake, hoping to break her from whatever trance had ensnared her. The contact jolted her, her body responding with a sudden start. Her eyes, once empty and distant, flickered back to life, refocusing on Jay's face.

"Mia!?

"Eh…?"

"Y-yes, Jay?", she asked.

"Are you alright?"

"Uh…"

"Yes, why…?"
