Bab 543: A father's burden

Julian refreshed his already disheveled hair for the umpteenth time, knowing the fact that Gina was bleeding made him almost lose consciousness had Charlie not been there for him to support him.

"Should I call doctor Peter, sir?" Charlie asked quietly, seeing Julian massage his left chest a few times worried Charlie.

Julian shook his head. "I'm fine, you don't need to call doctor Peter."

"But you..."

"I really am a terrible father, Charlie. I almost hurt Gina many times," said Julian hoarsely. "And in this case I almost killed a little baby who was still pure, a baby who didn't know anything. I was a complete jerk."

Charlie took a deep breath, the thing he had dreaded finally coming to Julian's lips.

"My grandson, I almost killed him, Charlie…" Julian couldn't finish his sentence, his chest was too tight.
