"Qingxue, do you think my suggestion will work?"
After she had gone through her analysis of the situation, Lin Wanyue's almond-shaped eyes were a little teary as she looked hopefully towards Baili Qingxue.
It looked as though those watery eyes of hers would start crying if he didn't agree to it.
Yun Qingyan held her face in both hands and looked towards Baili Qingxue.
Baili Qingxue was a little blind, but he was generally quite a sensible character. Surely he wouldn't agree to Lin Wanyue's unreasonable request, right?
Even if a Heaven Elementalist and an Earth Elementalist were leading the way, if they were leading a bunch of Second and Third Stage Elementalists and ran into any danger, then there was no way anything would save them.
After all, the safety measures that Qingxuan Academy put in place were only limited to the outskirts of the Forest of No Return.
If they really went to the middle of the forest, the emergency call button might not work.
Baili Qingxue pursed his thin lips together tightly. His ice sculpture-like face looked even more distant and translucent. His black hair flew in the light wind and looked otherworldly.
But almost everyone could sense the hesitation in his heart.
"Qingxue…" Lin Wanyue quietly called him and clenched her fists tightly.
He was willing to take the same Griffin with Yun Qingyan but he wasn't willing to agree to this small request of hers?
After Lin Wanyue called out gently to him, Baili Qingxue's expression became even more stern. There was an air of rejection surrounding him.
In the end, after he looked at how Lin Wanyue seemed like she might burst into tears anytime, Baili Qingxue looked down and his long eyelashes cast a shadow over his eyes. His voice was still distant and void of emotion, "Go to the middle."
Lin Wanyue broke into a bright smile and her slightly reddened eyes immediately went back to normal. She reached an arm out to hook Baili Qingxue's. "Qingxue, I just knew you were the best."
Baili Qingxue's first reaction was to dodge her arm, but he seemed to have thought of something and stopped himself from dodging, making it so Lin Wanyue could manage to hook his arm in the end.
Even though he didn't pull his arm away from her, his stiff and icy face became even more distant than before.
After hearing Baili Qingxue's response, Yun Qingyan was stunned for a moment before raising an eyebrow.
Even a hero fell to the charms of a beautiful woman. Baili Qingxue looked like such a cold and principled man, but he too was able to go against his own principles for the sake of another person.
Then again, she didn't mind going to the middle section.
Xiaoxuan could sense that the opportunity to open up the Magic Ring's Forbidden Zone was lying within the Forest of No Return, and it seemed to be pretty deep into the forest. Even if she couldn't go right to the center of the forest, exploring the middle area was a pretty good idea too.
Once Baili Qingxue agreed to go, the rest of the team didn't really reject this idea anymore.
Even the timidest and most frightened girl forced herself to pull her courage together and followed the group as well.
It was accurate to say that Baili Qingxue was the faith that everyone in Qingxuan Academy believed in.
The whole group set off on a grand mission towards the inner section of the Forest of No Return. They ran into a few Magical Rabbits and Magical Deer, and these were easily settled by the small team. The team's nervous and heavy atmosphere that was felt earlier dissipated and some of them even started bantering with one another.
Yun Qingyan continued to remain right at the back of the team. She was neither fast nor slow, and she looked so relaxed it was as if she was taking a slow walk in her own garden.
If a truly highly skilled person were around, he would definitely have noticed that her flesh was tense. She looked like she was leisurely looking around at the scenery in the old forest, but her brain was actually making sure she captured every single detail of the environment around her.
In a forest filled with Magical Beasts, the most frightening things were not the dangers one could see but the dangers that couldn't be seen.
"Wait a minute!" a clear voice suddenly resounded.
The one walking right in front shuddered and was so horribly shocked that he staggered back by a few steps and took a while to steady himself. He then spun around to stare unhappily at Yun Qingyan and shouted at her.
"Yun Qingyan, what the hell are you yelling about?! You frightened me!"
