Li Xingchen followed Li Qingcang to the A&E department. The moment Li Qingcang walked through the doors of the A&E department, he noticed Ye Tianxin, who was holding her grandmother's hands and weeping.

Hazy memories from the night of his injury suddenly floated into his mind. He remembered the young girl at the rural clinic who pleaded with the doctor, saying in a sweet voice, "Be gentle. I can't handle pain!"

And yet, she gave him 600 milliliters of her own blood without batting an eye.

"Ye Tianxin…."

Hearing her name, Ye Tianxin answered reflexively, "Yes, I'm here."

Ye Tianxin looked at Li Qingcang. He was about 1.83 to 1.85 meters tall, short-haired, and looked to be very energetic.

He was clad in Capital First Hospital's standard-issue patient's garb, but the blue and white striped uniform seemed a tad too short for him, because it exposed most of his calves.
