Bab 1035: Investigate

Huo Yao placed her foot on the flower bed with a mild look in her eyes. She did not keep harping on the subject and simply said, "Did something happen to him yesterday?"

The assistant had already flagged a cab. Perhaps owing to Huo Yao's imposing voice, he did not want to hide things from her. He proceeded to tell her about the incident Huo Tingrui encountered at court yesterday.

It just occurred yesterday and now his boss was taken hostage. There was no concealing the matter considering that things had come so far. After all, Huo Tingrui's life was at risk.

The assistant could not wrap his mind around it. Huo Yao had called to ask about Huo Tingrui earlier. However, she called him 30 minutes later informing him Huo Tingrui was safe. He found it unfathomable how she managed to pull this off.

Huo Yao touched the plant gently. Since she knew it was impossible to squeeze any more information out of the assistant, she hung up before long.
