Bab 90: I Am The Supporting Character

Sarah's POV:

"I am sorry, Jacob." I stood up with a sad look, and he smiled. "I will wait till you are ready, for now. Please let things not be weird between us."

"Of course, so see you at the event tonight?"

"Yes, I will walk you out."

I turned to leave when he placed a hand on my shoulder. "Actually..."

"Ouch," I winced in pain. That was the same place Anthony had crossed the whip on.

"Are you okay?" His tone was filled with worry.

"I happened to bruise my shoulder; it's not a big deal."

"I am sorry about that. Will you want me to drive you home?"

"Oh, no. I came with the driver.

Then we both walked out, and he pulled the door for me. "See you tonight." I smiled and got into the car before it drove away.

"Can you drive to the company, please?"

Minutes later, we arrived at the company, and I walked in. Everyone seemed so busy as they hurried to do one or two jobs.
