Sarah's POV:

After I had my bath, I laid on the bed next to Jacob as I explained everything that happened, leaving out the part where Elma shot Anabella.

"I am glad it's all over," he said, and I nodded. I was glad as well, and I wished Elma knew we were now saved rather than being enclosed in her own world.

"One thing I am happy about is that the baby is safe," I added, if something had happened to my baby during those harsh conditions.

I dont know if I would have survived it; now I lost my mother, and I dont plan on losing anyone.

"Tomorrow I will go visit my dad," I told Jacob, who nodded. "I will take you there."

"But we first need to go to the hospital; you have a doctor appointment," he reminded me.

"Don't you have work? I could go alone."

"You are my work, my beautiful work."

I chuckled. "So are you a workaholic?"
