2. New Beginnings

The next morning, Ethan woke up with a terrible feeling at the pit of his stomach. Liam was already awake, putting on his coat and getting ready to go out. He smiled when their eyes met and told him he wanted to go to his house and see if he could sneak in and get some "supplies". It only worsened the feeling Ethan had, but he simply shrugged and watched Liam's retreating back as he left the building.

It felt so odd making his way to the cafe on his own, since Liam had been accompanying him every single day. It was quiet, kind of depressing actually, not hearing Liam's voice as they rambled about random things on their way. Even if it was just one day, he actually... really missed Liam.

Then what if he leaves for good?

He shuddered at the thought. Because deep down, he knew that Liam was going to work things out for himself. He was going to go somewhere amazing and have a wonderful future, Ethan just knew it.

He also knew that future didn't include him.
