Bab 77: Trust and heart

"Yes, I will." Samantha breathed, and Alastair's face brightened up in joy. He was beyond ecstatic by her answer. But his smile vanished when he doubted if Samantha was speaking at the moment. What if she went back on her words later?

"Are you sure, darling? Promise me you will not be going back on your words." He asked, fearing she would do so once they left the room.

Samantha smiled, a smile so beautiful that Alastair was captivated by it. "No, Milord, I will not go back on my words. Though I am still fearful of you, I want to find out why I am feeling this way. I want to know why I fear you but at the same moment, find solace in your presence."
