Bab 367: The Birthday Gift

"Can I open my eyes now?" Emily asked when she and Kaiden came to a stop after walking for a while.

She felt Kaiden's hand leaving her waist before it moved to hold her hand and then he entangled their fingers together. He then finally whispered, "You can."

Emily's eyes immediately flew open as she looked for the surprise birthday gift that Kaiden had prepared for her. As her eyes landed on a very familiar sight right in front of her, she almost forgot to breathe. Shock took over her senses and she was unable to even think properly.

When she didn't speak for a while, Kaiden decided to break the silence as he asked - "Did you like the present?" His voice carried hope as he waited for a positive response from Emily but all she could muster was - "How...?"
