After lunch the next day Dariya went behind the botanical garden in her university to meet him. She saw him sitting under the tree with headphones in his ears and his eyes closed. She understood that moment what Brandon meant by giving her 'Isabella' and 'Lamia' to read. She knew like the Isabella and Lorenzo's fate, torn by her family, no one would be able to survive because of her family. Just like Lamia, she is a trapped woman in a serpent who will hopelessly fall in love, try her best to fight but lose the battle and will have to give up watching her Lycius leave forever. 'Now I feel no different from them. I feel how much I can mess up his life. I can see the end even before it begins' she told herself. For some unknown reason that she couldn't understand, her heart ached. 'Why did we open the ending page of our novel in the beginning?' 'Is there nothing in the history that won?' after all the thinking she could get was again 'Romeo and Juliet' and Antony and Cleopatra' where everything ended tragically. Her heart clenched. 'What the heck? forget thinking.' She told herself. 'Just relax' she told herself. She had already decided everything in her head. She made up her mind to tell him the truth.
"Hey." She woke him. He sat straight. She hugged him as her insides ached. He kissed her forehead and looked at her. He knew something was wrong. "I have something to tell you."
"What is it?" she asked him.
"I got hired in Gameloft." He told her. She smiled wide.
"Wow. Congratulations." But that was not the level of excitement he expected. She didn't wait for any further. "I'm getting engaged on my coming birthday." She told him straight.
"What?" it wasn't clear to him.
"The families decided." She said looking at him. His expression totally changed.
"What?" he asked again unable to say anything.
"What should I do?" she asked. He wasn't saying a thing but she was expecting him to. She was wishing he would speak up. But he was seriously thinking. "There's no time." She told him.
Lu Han wasn't prepared for anything. He didn't see this coming either. He wasn't feeling sure what to do. He wasn't scared but. When he came back, he came prepared for the battle, but things seemed to have turned out too soon. He needed time. Apparently long. He didn't wish to make fake promises. He didn't want to give false hopes. But he wanted to come up with the plans urgently. He knew he was not the age to do so too. 23 and still a long way to go. He stood without making many reactions. And Dariya felt the ground shattering into pieces under her.
"Just wait." That's all he said. she looked at him. She wanted to but she really had no time. She didn't cry. She didn't blame him. She decided to not rebel anymore like Devon always said, like Nara lived and what the society has shaped. She nodded to his words and got up. Dariya began to walk and Lu Han left her hands.
Don't get shocked and act up Lu Han !!!!
