Bab 274: Earth: Beyond everything (8)

"Can we speak privately?" Doxia stood up near Rada.

They walked out of the room, standing in the corridor. 

"We must move the army. The enemy is close, we want to stop them before reaching here, and it might drag us to the Belator border. Please stay here with Lady Crystal. This castle needs you all to protect it." Doxia declared.

"You know that I can fight beside you, right?" She remarked.

"Yes, I know and I want you to protect these people. Here is more important. Keep my ring with you until I asked for it." Doxia didn't want her to lose hope so with that ring she could remember him.

She bitterly smiled, "Alright, then you promise me." 

"What sort of promise?"

"Come back, safe." 

He gripped his sword's hilt, squeezing it. Nothing was predictable and he barely could promise that but to warm her heart he was supposed to do it.
