"...Not, it was not." She clearly heard the reluctance in the wolf's tone.

Still sitting on the edge of the couch, Sascha leaned down, resting both elbows on her knees, and rested her chin on one fist. A thoughtful look crossed the glittering emerald eyes.

Sascha wasn't stupid and she instantly understood that the wolf didn't want to say more. She also sensed that both the half-human child and the hunter were involved. What was the mystery? Where did this child come from? Why was he being chased by a hunter? And why was the wolf hunting them? Because he was. With the wolf's predatory instincts, it would be weird to say otherwise.

Askeladd was looking at Sascha's peaceful face with concern, as he looked at her, a slight itch began to scratch his heart, it was so obvious that she wanted to know ... "Don't you want to know?"

Sascha's head snapped up. "... You'll tell me?"
