Bab 10: CHAPTER 9: WATER MONSTER(1)
LAKE POV
"Damn it, why are there no fish here?" An old man muttered as he is on his boat alone."It's been almost 5 hours and no rushes are here."
"Are they dead or something eat them?" His name is Max Oxford, a fisherman who has spent his entire life on the sea catching fishes and then sell them.
He has been doing this job when he is still a teenager and he decides to stop going to school to gain money from becoming a fisherman with giving his 2 younger siblings to be able to study in school.
Becoming fishermen made him spend most of his hour in a day on a sea why made him a bachelor until he becomes an old man.
Sighing at not getting a single fish, he is about to go back to the land until he sees a big figure in the fog which now is in front of his boat.
"Crap. Is it the Water Monster?" He mutters as he already hard rumours about the recent Water Monster he heard from other fishermen when he takes a drink in the bar near the lake.
He, of course, did not believe it as he thought it is the story to scare away some fishermen or rather a story they made when they are drunk.
He quickly grabs hold of his weapon, a shotgun and ready to shoot at that monster.
"If I manage to catch this water monster and present it to those researchers, I will be rich." He thought in his mind as he already imagines him sitting with a lot of money around him.
He then pointed his shotgun to the upcoming figure if the supposed lake monster.
"Bang!" He releases a shot and hit the figure.
"Did I get it?" He muttered as the fog disappears only for him to see it is only a brand of the tree which shaped like a monster making him curse loudly."Damn it. I really thought I get to kill a monster there." Max click his tongue and is about to go back to the land.
Upon turning Ju his body, his face got grabbed bus a figure who is bigger than him as Max widened his eyes seeing this figure.
This figure is a huge being, it's height is 5'6 '' with its face and body is like a crocodile.
"Food." This humanoid crocodile muttered as it opens his mouth.
"Noooooo!!!!!!!" Max's voice sounds through the whole place as that night is the last moment that everyone sees him.

"This morning, a fisherman who is named Max Oxford is found on his boat where his friend found near the shore. Half of his body disappeared. The policemen suspect that a crocodile is the cause of his death. But still, the local folks claimed that it was the Water Monster who killed him." Daniel heard what the reporter said making him raise his eyebrows hearing this.
"Ho. Water Monster huh?" He mutters as this news piqued his interest.
Switching off the television, he opens his smartphone and types the address of the recent accident where the old fisherman died.
"Huh?Near the Manhattan Forest. That is very far. Heh. Who am I kidding? I have many powers in my arsenal that I can use to go there. But first, I need to attend school." Sighing, he takes a bite of his cheeseburger he made on his own as he arrived at his school since he decided to attend school to lose his boredom.
From his clone memory, the clone act like a loner who everyone did not pay attention to as the clone just keep quiet and reading books about history every time.
Oh, apparently his clone also has beaten up some seniors for trying to bully him which ended with the bullies get a warning from the discipline teacher as the clone manages to record who strike first which of course the bullies is the first to punch him.
Upon arriving at my locker, I move my head to my left avoiding a rugby ball that almost hit my head making me turn my head to see one of the rising star rugby player, Duncan with his 2 lackeys.
"Hey. Can you please that ball here?" Duncan ask me and with me using remembering my clone also beat him up once as he tried to bully me.
"How about you come here and pick your damn rugby ball?" I told him making the other students stop chattering as I said those words toward Duncan.
"What did you say?" Duncan asks as he approaches me and tried to push me but I did not flinch.
"You think that you are strong since you play rugby." I poke his chest but I forgot my own strength as Duncan fell to the floor making me realise my body now is almost to peak human level and with me letting out a bit of Hamon energy on my finger which I use to poke him.
"Look at you. A single poke is all I need to make you fell down. Guess you are weak. It must be a shame for the rugby team to have you in them since you are a weakling." I say to him making him angry.
"You bastard!" He punches my right cheek where as I smirk seeing this.
Never he notices of my watch who has a camera lens that is now recording him punching me.
"Get him." He commands as his 2 lackeys approach me but I deliver a harsh kick to the lackey stomach very hard making him spit out his saliva before I backhand him very hard sending his head to hit the locker beside me.
The other lackey did not escape my assault as I block his punch and use my elbow to his nose very hard making him groan in pain.
"Paa!" I then slap him very hard sending him to fell to the ground with the mark of slapping can be seen on his face.
"You are next," I say to Duncan as he tries to tackle me but I jump forward and deliver a knee on his face as I used both of my shoulders to hammer his head very hard making his face to hit the ground.
Stepping his head as I grin maliciously.
"So this is the feeling of defeating bullies. I now get the satisfying feeling as I kept watching how the Wuxia characters best up their bullies without mercy."
"Apologise to me right now," I said to him as I increase the pressure of my stepping making him groan in pain.
"Never!" He shouted but I raise my foot and step over his face again making him cry in pain.
"I can do this all day to the point your parent cannot recognise your bruised up face," I said to him as his eyes now are tearing up.
"P-please forgive me." He says those words making me smile as I take out my handphone and paused the recording.
I then roughly grab his head as I force his face to see my smartphone.
"Look at this video. You see if I give this video to the school, your career as a rugby player will ned with you will get expelled. The same goes for your lackeys. Just heed my order. Do not tell this to any teacher. Or the principal. On second thought, just tell them and I will show this video. So think wisely as long as I have this video, your school life is in my hand." I said to him before push back his head.
"Also, if any of your so-called helpers dared to fight against me, then come. I cannot wait to breaks some bones." I say to him with a smile that promises pain.
"The same for the bullies. You bully any student and I see your action, just be prepared to ly yourself in the hospital bed for weeks." I said loudly and walk to my classroom.
Entering my classroom, I see all the stares from my classmate as I ignored their stares and goes to my seat.
Sitting on my chair, I take out my headphone to see any news related to the Water Monster news.
Until Oracle made a sound.
"Ding! Resisting someone attempt to read your mind."
"Huh? This girl is really stubborn huh?" I thought in my mind as I ignored the notifications in my mind.
"If I remember my clone never meet her the day that she wants to meet me. Good grief." I thought in my mind as my head already get used to the notification in my head.
Our homeroom teacher enters as I am ready to face the school lessons.
Moments pass as now I feel very bored as I already finish doing my history quiz while the others are having their time answering this quiz.
"The irony of having sudden quiz by the teacher, usually History taught by the History teacher is still the same with the installment of mutant and Captain America from my past life and this new life. And it is the last period before school ended."
"Okay students. For anyone who has finish doing the quiz, you can hand it to me right now and you can go back to your house." Mr Jeff, our history teacher announced as I stand up and hand in my quiz paper to him.
He raises his eyebrows as he looks at me.
"Daniel Ryder huh? Are you sure you have checked your quiz paper?" He asks me as he inspected my quiz paper. Every single page has been checked by him.
"Yeah," I reply.
"Okay. You can go back to your home right now." He says to me as I walk outside of the classroom.
Walking outside of the classroom, I am greeted by the sight of all the rugby players as they all glares at me.
"So you are the hotshot who beat up my junior huh?" A senior says to me as I just smirk hearing this.
"Yeah. What's about it?" I ask him as he approached me.
He obviously tries to intimidate me but I am not fazed or scared about him.
"Prepare to spend all your entire life in the hospital." He punches my cheek but I already harden my cheek making his finger break as he retracts back his fist with his broken fingers.
From his face expression, I can see he is hurt.
"How about you say hello to the doctor and nurse who will treat you after this?" I say as I punch his face back to his group making some of them stumble.
"Bro. Fuck !Get him." One senior says as they all rush to me.
My smirk never leaves my face as I avoided their punches and counter hack by punching them back very hard.
Some have their nose broke, teeth flew out from their mouth and have their fingers break as I just wipe my hand off with my shirt.
"Geez. At least give me challenges when you guys tried to beat me up." I say to them. And try did not listen since they are relieving their pain.
I then approach the leader and grab his collar as I met his eyes.
"Who asks you guys to beat me up? Tell me quickly before I snap all your fingers slowly." I threat him as my hand approach his hand.
"W-wait. It was Duncan. It's him. He promised us he will give us a grand to beat you up." He told me as I smirk seeing Duncan arrives.
"Hey, Duncan. Look here, your seniors try to beat me up but go who got their ass kick by me?" I ask him with a smile as I push the seniors to the ground as I approach him and put my hand on his right shoulder.
"The next time you do this again, " I spread out my killing intent making this weakling sweat and start to shiver due to my killing intent.
"I am going to cripple you. Do you understand?" I ask him as I increase the pressure on his shoulder making him wince in pain but at the same time nodding his head very fast.
"Good. Oh, and make sure get treatment for these guys." I tell him as I walk away.
What a way to vent out my frustration and anger at the school. Now I get the feeling of those Wuxia characters I read from my past life.
"Hey! Wait up for me." Someone shouts from behind but I just continue to walk as I know that those words probably is mean to someone else, not me.
But then someone taps my shoulder making me turn my head to see a certain host of omnipotence being look at me.
"Yes?" I ask her.
"Why do you not see me that day after we promise to meet after school ends," Jean asked me making me releases a sigh of annoyance.
"I forgot," I reply.
"Sorry. " I apologise to her.
"It's okay. So can we talk alone together?" She asks me as my dear system made a notification of protecting my mind making me know that Jean here is probably trying to read my mind again.
If I reject her again, she will probably get mad. Let's just settle this once and for all.
"Fine," I reply as she guides me to a certain bench ss we both sit next to each other.
"So what do you want from me?" I ask her.
"Are you a mutant?" She asks me making me roll my eyes hearing her question.
"Of course that is her first question towards me." I thought in my head.
"No. I am not a mutant." I reply.
Technically that is not wrong since quirk is like a superpower not mutant powers even though my copy power can make me able to copy mutant powers.
"Lies. Then how come I can not read your mind?" She asks me.
"Huh? You try to read my mind? Girl, have you not heard the word privacy?" I ask her as she shut her mouth realising her mistake exposing her identity as a mutant.
"I-I am not trying to read my mind. I am just curious about how I am unable to read your mind. I apologise if you are offended of me trying to read your mind." She apologized to me as I look at her and releases a sigh.
"You are a mutant right?" She nods at my question.
"And by looking and hearing your statements, this probably the first time you encounters a person who you cannot read his mind," I say to her.
"Yes. I am unable to properly control my power." She says to me with her head fell down. Probably a shame of unable to control her power efficiently.
"So does it hurt when you lose control of your power?" I ask her.
"Yes. My mind is filled with many thought that made me uncomfortable." She says to me making me pity at her.
Poor girl for hearing many thought which I am sure are indecent and good things in her head.
"But that stop until I can not read your thought as my mind just fill with silence when I focus my power on you." She says to me making me crack a wry smile.No wonder many notifications keep popped up in my mind.
"Really? Does anyone know how to teach you to control your power properly?" I ask her.
"Yeah. I had a Professor who teaches me how to use my power but my power keep going out of control." She says to me.
"Then how about you just focus redirect your uncontrollable power by focusing them to read my mind. I mean you say all you got so nothing when you use your power to read my mind. Maybe you can do that when you lost control of your power?" I suggest this to her.
I know that after this, a certain bald professor will try to get me and try to read my mind which where he will fail.
"That sounds like a good idea. But are you sure about that?" Jean ask me but I just look at her upside and down.
"Girl. From what I hear, you are in pain when your control goes berserk but you regain silence when you try to read my mind so just go ahead, redirected your abilities to me. Besides, I will probably do not get any bad effects since I cannot feel anything when you dedicated them to me." I assure her with a smile.
"Except many notifications keep popping up in my mind." I continued in my mind.
"Then thank you so much for this Daniel." She says to me with a smile.
"Just be glad to help you. " I say to her.
"Can I ask you a final question?" She asks me.
"Yes, you can."
"If you are not a mutant, then what are you?" She asks me as I just stare at her.
"Just a person who is gifted with amazing powers. " I reply to her question.
"Well see you again Jean." I bid goodbye to her as my eyes catch many figures behind the bush.
Probably the X-Men. They will probably try to recruit me later but I will handle them later.
Now time for me to hunt a water monster.
