After receiving Len's call, I threw a coat over my sweater before making my way to the station. On the way over, I happened to pass by a girl selling single roses by the entryway to the station.
She seemed cold and anxious as if she had to sell at least a single flower before heading back. I felt a wave of pity overcome me as I watched countless people walk past her without batting an eyelid.
Given how I hadn't given Len the flowers I had purchased when I initially returned since I was furious by what I witnessed, I decided to use this as an opportunity to mend over the wound of that memory. If I don't give Dameon an opportunity to worm his way into Len's heart, everything should return to its original place.
I stood to a corner, waiting by the exit of the fare gate as I twirled the rose in hand. The flower reminded me of the time we went on our date at the park where I presented him a bouquet of flowers.
