Bab 367: The Empress' Sons

One would not imagine the amount of annoyance the empress had for Princess Yingyue. Some of the photos were posted on the official social pages of the palace and garnered a lot of favorable reactions. It did not help that the pictures were mainly Princess Yingyue and Princess Zhenzhen. In all of them, they were both smiling, their mouths open in delight as they played with the children. The two were even photographed running around in the wide grass area with small kids despite wearing heavy dresses. And they were barefoot.

BAREFOOT.

Prince Xiaodan had his head bent while constructing a letter, and he laughed softly at his mother's rage. "And so what if they were barefoot? I imagine it would be a pain to play with heels on. I think they're just trying to avoid spraining their ankles or breaking their necks."

"They were BAREFOOT," she repeated, clearly scandalized. "You know how people liked seeing humanity from us royals."
