Bab 124: Soul Crap

That morning felt different. Ever since Tianshi Xue woke up in the body of the princess, it had always been loud around the palace. But today, it was like everyone was finally keeping quiet. It was like everbody ran out of batteries to celebrate more.  The other visitors were also scheduled to leave that day. The people from Shanmai chose to go in the morning and maximize the daylight. It would be a long way home.

"Breakfast?"

Her gaze was pulled away from the dark brown palanquin making its way down the street. She turned to Prince Qui and kept her eyes downcast. "Of course, Your Highness."

Prince Qui waved a hand in the air. "No need for the title. I don't think that you had been fond using it."

"But it's different," she said. "You know already. I'm no princess," she whispered. "I can't speak to you like that."
