The moment he said Level 8, there were various sharp intakes of breaths from across the room. Zane knew why, leveling up was not easy, the more you moved ahead, the harder it was to level up because the experience points needed all but doubles.

Just look at this Murim dungeon for example, Cassandra had entered as a Level 2 mage and had left as a Level 4 mage; on the other hand, Kalli had entered as a Level 5 witch and still left Level 5. For him to level up from Level 7 to Level 8, he needs to raid at least 6 dungeons or read 10-100 really ancient books about different civilizations, not that they knew that last part.
