Something about her reminded him greatly of someone-- someone he knew...

He reached out his small hands to the hems of the girl's dress. Feeling a small tug, the girl turned her focus from the butterfly to the small boy behind her. She let the butterfly flew away as she crouched down in front of the young Arnettia.

He couldn't see her face, but he could tell that she was smiling softly at him. The "older" girl placed her hand on the boy's head, ruffling his shoulder-length magenta hair. Arnettia grinned cheekily upon the comforting feeling the girl brought.

In a blink of an eye, Arnettia was back drowning in the middle of the earlier flood. He couldn't breathe this time, and he was soaked too. Poking his head out of the surface, he was slapped back down by the dancing waves.
