Jace's POV

I couldn't believe what just happened, and I remain frozen in the hallway. My sweetheart and my ex-girlfriend left me standing so lost in my world. 

"Jace! Are you okay? I can see black cars parked in front of our house, are you in trouble son? I forgot to close the door when I put the garbage in the bin this morning, but I have already closed it now. You are scaring me, Jace. Can you at least tell me what is going on?" My mom asked me in a hushed manner, and I almost laugh at her reaction.

"Relax, Mom, you don't need to worry anything, no one will shoot at us any moment, but I think someone will fire me as her boyfriend." I stated and her eyes widened.

"Miracle is here?" She asked and her voice raised this time.

"Shh, lower your tone, Mom." I replied.

"Where is she now?" She demanded again.
