Bab 126: Chapter One-hundred & Twenty-five

I clench my teeth, hoisting Selena up higher, I slip a couple times but eventually get around only to see a cloud of dust in the distance.

"What the hell is that?" I pant out, the mountain is less steep on this side, cementing our smart decision to go around first before making my way down.

Selena slowly raises her head from where it's resting on my back. "I think, there's a fight?"

"What?" 

"Yeah, most likely the guys and the country's army coming out to rescue your dumb ass." She scoffs.

"Yeah right." I snort. "My dumb ass that's getting us safely out of here."

She makes a non-committal sound. "That remains to be seen."

"You're unbelievable."

"Eyes on the ground, Ember, if you trip were going to be breaking body parts."

"I know, I know." I huff, trotting a little as I hurry down. "I'll be running soon, so hold on tight."
