Bab 77: Chapter Seventy-six

♦Cyril's POV♦

It burns…

Not in a good way like Neruda makes me feel but in a way that makes me feel ill.

I keep struggling with unconsciousness, the adrenaline thrumming through my system not allowing me to fully fall into the black lake.

I hear voices from a distance and with a struggle, I try to bring it into focus and I hear Selena's shaky voice.

"Will he be okay?" 

"Indeed, Your Eminence." Another unfamiliar voice replies to her. "Lord Cyril will be fine but the weapon was made of silver which means he will heal in the manner of a human and an unsightly scar will remain afterward."

"Oh dear this is horrible, what are we going to tell Lady Lavinia." Another higher-pitched voice says in worry.

A cold draft pouts into the room and the two unfamiliar voices let out shocked gasps.

"You will tell my mother that you haven't seen us." Selena says blankly.
