Bab 57: Chapter Fifty-six

I choose to stay in the back seat this time, Selena riding shotgun because Hazel had texted her the details, well that and also because I wasn't sure if I wanted Selena sitting all alone behind me, the teenage vampire was dangerous enough without even trying hard.

Apparently, Hazel's uncle lived only a couple of houses down from Selena's house so from there we would hightail it back to the mansion, I'm worried about Cyril, he hasn't left my side ever since that night I found him passed out from blood loss.

I clench my fists unconsciously, I still hadn't seen Lavinia and I'm praying I don't at least not now when my rage feels like liquid fire constantly flowing through my veins.

Cyril is traumatized, I see it in the vacant distance in his dull blue eyes and his unsure fidgety movements.

We turn into the beach estate's avenue, identical huge houses standing still behind solemn dark gates.
