"The alpha is dead." The eldest of the elderly people spoke in a low voice.

However, the room was silent enough to allow his words to be heard by all of them. His words had just fallen when the Luna suddenly smacked her forehead on the rough ground, bashing her forehead open. Blood seeped from the wound and onto the soil, staining the brown soil a bright red color.

A loud piercing scream permeated the area around them, as the Luna screamed. Her body was wracked with loud sobs, which caused the youngest of the children to cry as well. "Luna is crying. Luna." One of the young girls broke off from the group huddled at the corner. She looked to be about ten or eleven. She was wearing a moon-white nightgown that fell to her ankles. As she walked, her bare feet were exposed.
