Bab 227: FIRST DANCE

The first elder raised his hand, and as if it had been rehearsed, music began to play. As soon as Lexine had walked down the small stage, three men walked up to her, all asking for a dance from her.

As the 'main character' of the day, it was expected of her to dance. However, she had her 'cheat code' for the occasion. She plastered her usual frown on her face and grabbed onto Kivuli's elbow. "I apologize, but I already have my escort for the first dance."

At least if she managed to ignore them here, she would be able to escape dancing completely. Lexine hooked her elbow around Kivuli's elbow and smiled up at him. "Shall we, Kivuli?"

The shadow guard looked down at her, and also plastered a smile onto his face, 'Let's do this.'

The first dance was a waltz and only the highest in rank were on the dance floor at the moment. Timaeus and Leilani were dancing together. Now that there were fewer people on the dance floor, Lexine immediately recognized Raveer.
