Bab 119: I HAVE SOMETHING UP MY SLEEVE

Marissta's father went through a door and into another room. He returned a few minutes later with a small wooden box. The box was plain, with no markings. He handed the box to Taevlin, 'My Lord. Although I am plagued with this loss, I have what you required in this box.' Taevlin received the box and pushed it open.

Laying in the box was a necklace. The first thing that caught Lexine's eye was the silver gem that lay in the middle of the box. The gem had been designed to be held to the cord with a small ball clasp. The chain that was the cord was brown in color.

Taevlin nodded on looking at it then handed it to Lexine, 'See if it is to your liking.' Lexine picked up the necklace by the pendant. The pendant felt very cool in her hands. She managed to clasp it to her neck after a few tries. She was still in awe that it had taken the sylph just but a few hours to make the necklace.
