Bab 85: Boiling Point

XAVIER

'I don't want to be hurt all over again'. Shay Zephanie's words echoed inside Xavier's mind as he found himself staring at her. She was fast asleep.

She had been sleeping the whole day. Somehow, Xavier can't help but be worried. Ever since that night she had fainted, she seemed to be growing paler every passing minute. It was as if the clock was ticking down, counting how long she has left to live.

Xavier dismissed the thought. He can't afford to think of losing Shay Zephanie. He just can't imagine living life without her in it.

As if on cue, he felt a sharp pang inside his chest, his heart was like being squeezed. It was as if, he couldn't breathe. That was how he felt with the mere thought of losing Shay. Xavier can only imagine what it would be like when it actually happens.
