Sue had gradually recovered her memories while traveling. She had had times of breaking down when she recalled the betrayal of Curt and later the loss of Spencer; however, Curt had stayed with her all the time, taken care of her, and shown her love. They said love could cure everything. It was true. She prayed every day for the return of her son and was grateful that she had finally gained her husband's love.
Just a month before the babies were born, when Nathalia learned that her mother-in-law had accepted the past and let it go and forgiven her, she felt such immense relief. She saw hope again.
The arrival of the babies brought a lot of comfort and joy to the family. Curt and Sue adored and spoiled their grandchildren the best they could. Though they didn't talk about Spencer often, they thought of him every day.
