Bab 7: "Come, gentle night"
Late at night, when everyone and everything fell asleep and only the stars broke the
darkness of the night, two were admiring the minutes of loneliness. The wind
seemed to run through the streets and announce about the imminent visit of winter.
Although the weather was extremely cold, the windows were opened a bit, and even
the field flowers standing on the table were trembling. This was because Maestro
loved cold weather. He just adored greeting cold winter nights with Abel
Korzeniowski's "Come, gentle night". Of course it was Autumn Lady's favorite
composer so, the freese couldn't deflect her attention from the magic. She was
sitting on the coach, wrapped in a blanket, holding a cup of hot tea and reading
Remark's " Three Comrades". She was so immersed in the book, that she even
forgot about her tea. At a times, she looked at Maestro and smiled, as if she thought
that she was the luckiest. She marveled his messy hair floating under the wind and
long, tiny fingers which so dearly touched the piano keyboard.
And Maestro didn't forget about her. Playing music, he often looked at her excited
look that eagerly stroked every page. He admired her sloppy bunch and gentle
hands which turned pages so quickly yet so softly.
The light in the room was turned on but it was slightly dim, the milk walls of the
house were painted in pale yellow tones and the whole room was filled with night
magic of love.
This was how the two artists in love spent their time. Each buried in his favorite art,
in that cold, yet heartwarming midnight.
