Bab 192: Friend

"This Bella's job has been really good for her, don't you think?" Heather asked her husband with a proud smile as they both watched her enter the restaurant with Drake behind her. 

Ever since she returned home to them after Mr. Williams' death, she had been letting her hair down and wearing feminine clothes, unlike before. It seemed to everyone that she was more comfortable with her gender and body now, and she had also stopped raising the issue of a gender reassignment surgery. As far as her mother was concerned, that was the best thing that could possibly have happened to her. 

Bella led Drake over to where her parents were standing, "Dad, Mom, meet my friend, Drake. Drake, my parents," She said and watched her parent's expressions.

Mr. Stuart smiled broadly as he looked at Drake, and Drake felt his lips pull back with a smile, "How're you?" Mr. Stuart asked.
