By night, they packed everything and were ready to leave.
Rebus was busy on the phone trying to get information on the attacker but as of now nothing was available. The cops could not find any clues, so their mother escaped scotch free.
She was still missing. It was highly likely that she would come to the house next.
Rebus hurriedly took them out.
"Check the car once again." He said to the driver.
Their car was triple checked before they boarded it. Rebus had them strapped down and safe in spot before they left.
Ambai leaned against his stiff shoulders with a small pout. 'This is not the first time we have been in danger. Why is so anxious.' She thought, hugging his arms.
Rebus glanced down at her with a soft smile.
"Rebus don't stress out. It's a small thing. We have faced situations like these in our past life. It's not a big deal,"
"Yeah, she is right," Nyx chimed in.
