Bab 93: The Decoy

Rebus sat down on the bed and started to scribble onto the back of the small scroll he had in hand.

"Come out." he intently peered at the shadow cast by the small table.

A black figure crawled out of the shadows from the corner of the room and stood in front of him.

"Do you have any message from his majesty?"

"As of now we don't have any young Lord,"

Rebus nodded. He folded the scroll and plugged it into the small silver canister. "Pass this on to his majesty. And tell him I'm taking good care of his son."

The shadow guard paused. Hesitantly, he glanced at him. "Young Lord, it is better to not get that.... ahem intimate with the prince before marriage,"

Rebus chuckled darkly. "Why? He is my betrothed. Can't I kiss or hug him?" his eyes went sharp as he glared at him. "Don't interfere,"
