Bab 164: CLXIV. Patricide.

Twisting, green electricity intensified on the Patriarch's raised hands. His paternal, understanding expression showed its true colors; he looked at Vanilla with an ophidian look of hatred and arousal for violence. Vanilla immediately pressed the Diamond.

"Get inside, Bones!" She ordered. Lancelot hesitated for a moment, but he returned to her side and she activated the magical shield. 

One fraction of a second after, the infuriated man unleashed his frying magical attack. It obliterated the bubble barrier. Vanilla tried to shoot Avrevm Bacvlvm once again, but before she could do, the man raised one hand both Vanilla and Lancelot were paralyzed. He then raised his other hand, and both began to hover in the air, covered by a layer of green fume.

Custos Ranae tried to lounge, but the Patriarch swept his hand and sent the frog flying away. He fell to the deep pool that Vanilla and Lancelot had just come through.
