Bab 179: Charlie Lost Control

"I am sorry for misbehaving, I drank too much alcohol earlier," Charlie said with his back still facing her. His hand were brought to the front to avoid Gabrielle seeing them.

"Are you saying that those words you said and the kiss was an act of drunkenness?" Gabrielle asked in puzzlement. She silently prayed that he would deny it.

"Hmm," Charlie nodded affirmatively. The moment he replied, Gabrielle's entire world came crashing down.

"So everything was only but an act of drunkenness?  How stupid of me to think that you actually like me. I was so foolish to expect anything from a scumbag like you," Gabrielle said dejectedly as she turned to leave. The moment she turned around she saw the shadows of someone walking away.

Charlie immediately turned around when he heard the sound of a mirror shattering. He forgot the fact that his fingers and eye did not turn back to normal.
