Bab 54: Intern?

Ken's POV

In all this chaos I did not know what to think or do. I was happy for a moment that our mission was finally over, but it turned out that I was wrong. But more than that, whom I felt bad for the most was Chloe. She had been trying her best lately. Even though she deserved a break, despite not needing it essentially as  ghost or spirit, she had been nothing but persistent in finding out about her life. 

Having the life back, to live it again must have been a golden opportunity. It was sad that despite this silver lining, this opportunity was snatched away from her. If I were in her place I would have been sad too. I am not sure about other ghosts, but dying was still one of my biggest regret. It hurts to even think about it.

"What are you thinking about, kid?" Margaret asked me when she caught me in my deep thought.
