Bab 13: Chapter 13 : Refuge at the Old Rock's Palace
She bends down in shock, she wrapped her arms around her knees resting her chin on her knees she looks at the neat white marble floor, her eyes wide but eyes were seeing beyond the marble and that was her doom, I slept for ten days only heavens knows what happened back in Green Forest, it was not the matter that she disappeared because well...she disappeared a lot without telling her family to play and travel for months around, butterflies love to travel it won't be something her parents would be worried about but if Crown Prince had reached the Green Forest without a hitch then she was in trouble her parents and aunt must have figure out by now who helped him then....oh! she flinches internally at the thought.
"Where is the Crown Prince now?" She asked with a little hope that he might have not entered the gates of Green Forest but First Lord's raised eyebrow said it enough 'what do you think?' His eyebrows said. Dong Hai look at her curled up small figure her chin rested on her knees as she mauled about the consequences and she didn't notice his half-amused smile as he looks at her resting his head on his hand.
It would have been so easy to get away from this if she was in the green forest before Crown Prince, she could have been a fake her innocence. Now she just didn't suffer from heavenly retribution but she has to endure her aunt's wrath and nobody can save her from that not even High God Ren.
Now there was only one way she has to figure out what is going on in Green Forest if the things are still not better she will..well that's is still under consideration. She got up quickly and turn to leave.
"Make sure you leave undicated," He said, going back reading the sutras.
"I am not leaving," she said, turning back looking at him.
"Ho?" He raised his eyebrow, she dares to wander around Nine Heavens like this after knowing that it might not end well with her if someone recognizes her. She is dense.
"Yes, I am going to find the Second Prince," She turns swiftly to leave but stop in her tracks as he was not finished yet so she turns back again
"So you know where he is?" He inquires.
"Of course, I don't that's why I said I am going to find him," 'For the former Master of the Universe he is sure is dense,' Hong Liu thought.
"I didn't know you are so familiar with Nine Heavens that you know where Second Prince's palace is?" Dong Hai said. Hong Liu squeezed her eyes shut as she realizes her error, she looks at him sheepishly. She didn't know the Nine Heavens at all.
"Aaa....ummm...will his lordship be so kind as to tell Hong Liu where is Second Prince?" She used her most sweet voice as she asked.
"My kindness is very limited," He said without looking at her. His indifference was not something bother Hong Liu, it was strange enough since she met him she can't help but admires him, but it also was not helping her at this moment, maybe she just should go back home and see what happens. With a defeated, she turns and at the same time Fate Lord Ming Zhu enter, he bowed first to The First Lord than to her in greeting. Hong Liu nodded at him seeing her face down, Ming Zhu wonders what happened? This time she remembers her manner since all the adrenaline rush was gone and replaces by the dread of punishment, her shoulders fall as she gave another sigh with her lower lip jutting out.
"Bai Hong Liu bids Farewell to First Lord Dong Hai, I will take my leave now. Also, gratitude for treating my injuries," She said with a low spirit and bowed. She turns towards the exit, she was almost eyes when she hears Ming Zhu and Dong Hai talking and she strains her ears, thinking she was being sneaky.
"The First Lord, what is that can I help you with?" Fate Lord ask bowing again to him.
"Where is the Second Prince?" The First Lord asked.
"Second Prince went to overlook the peace negotiation with a West Seas, My lord," Ming Zhu said. He was confused, 'doesn't the First Lord already knows that?' He thought.
Hong Liu's shoulder falls down further at a hearing that.
He thoughtfully hummed, he got up from the Divan and he unhurriedly walked towards Hong Liu. He passed her as she looks at her feet swinging her leg, dreading her next step. she really doesn't want to go to the green forest, if only she could find a place to take refuge...
"Ming Zhu," The First Lord called.
"Present, my lord," Ming Zhu come right behind him, bowing again.
"Princess Bai Hong Liu is guest here since she is unable to go back to her home show her the guest area and let her pick any room she wants," First Lord order.
"Huh?!" Hong Liu's head shot up in surprise she looks at his back and then she squealed, hopping on her feet before she could control her excitement she wrapped her arms around him from the back and pressed her cheek on his back.
"Thank you! Thank You! Thank You!" She squeals.
Dong Hai just stand there like a rock with a blank expression but he wasn't stiff either in Hong Liu embrace. He stands there until she was finished. Hong Liu soon realizes what she did, she bit her tongue in embarrassment and slowly unwrapped her arms from him and pulled back, she flushed but she couldn't resist the one last temptation, so she brushed his silk long snowy hairs pretending her intention was to keep them straight and her heart raced at her own action, her fascination was growing for him by the second. It was something she never felt and it didn't go unnoticed that he didn't pull away or said anything. He was just standing there like a rock.
Ming Zhu was completely shocked by the scene in front of him, honestly little nervous for the young princess but to his astonishment, The First Lord said nothing and walked away. Ming Zhu shook himself from his trance and bowed to Princess Bai Hong Liu.
"Come with me Little Highness I will show you the guest area,"
Hong Liu nodded and followed him.
Hong Liu had heard that everybody considered The First Lord, indifferent and above any emotion, many even say he had been carved out of rock but Hong Liu thinks he is just indifferent from outside inside he is very considered. She smiled as she skipped behind Ming Zhu, now she can stay here until Second Prince doesn't come back then with him, she would make sure that Crown Prince wins her aunts heart back then she will go back to Green Forest.
