Third person's POV
It had been two days since Josh and Justen were told to break up with each other. Neither of them had looked at or talked to each other since that night. But, when they met at their special spot after school, Justen and Josh knew they had to talk about it.
"Josh," Justen said. "I need to talk to you about something."
"I need to talk to you about something too," Josh said.
Justen sighed. "I have a feeling we're going to talk about the same thing?"
"Probably," Josh said.
"Listen, I don't want to do this any more than you," Justen said.
"Then let's not break up," Josh said.
"We have to, I'm sorry," Justen said.
"What is wrong with you?!" Josh asked. "Why are you giving up so easily?! Do you not care?!"
"Josh-" Justen started before Josh cut him off.
"No, I want to know what the hell is wrong with you," Josh said.
"Nothing is wrong with me! I've just been thinking that us breaking up would probably be for the best," Justen said.
"Justen…" Josh said, his eyes beginning to become glossy.
"I am so sorry," Justen said.
"No, you're not," Josh said, his voice wavering.
"Josh, this hurts me as much as it hurts you," Justen said.
"Liar! You don't feel anything!" Josh said. "You are just a dick! One gigantic asshole who decided to play with my emotions."
"Josh-" Justen started before Josh cut him off once again.
"No, you're right. We are through," Josh said, walking away. "Fuck you, dickhead."
Justen didn't say anything as he watched Josh walk away. Once he heard the roar of Josh's truck though, Justen broke. He really didn't want to break up with Josh, but Justen was feeling so weak after his dad had beaten him for three nights in a row. Justen continued to cry, feeling as if his whole world slipped right through his fingers. And to think, Justen was only doing this to please his and Josh's dads. Finally, Justen regained himself and walked over to his bike. He hopped on and rode home, feeling like he had fucked up his only chance of being happy ever again.
Josh, on the other hand, drove home in a rage. When Josh reached his house, he turned his truck off, slammed the door shut, and walked into the house where his mom and dad were arguing. He shrugged it off and went to his room.
"Josh," Michael said in a soft voice.
Josh, not wanting to show his anger, hid his emotions and looked at his brother. "What's up, Michael?" Josh asked.
"Are you okay?" Michael asked.
"I'm fine, bud," Josh lied.
"I can see it in your eyes, Josh. Please tell me what's wrong," Michael said.
Josh sighed.
"Is it about Justen?!" Michael gasped.
Josh felt like he was going to burst into tears again so he only nodded at his younger brother.
"What happened?" Michael said.
"He broke up with me," Josh said, his voice shaking.
"He did WHAT?" Michael asked.
"He broke up with me," Josh repeated.
"The same guy you said would be your forever?" Michael asked.
Josh nodded.
"I am so sorry, Josh," Michael said, wrapping his small arms around his big brother.
"There's no need to be sorry," Josh said. "It turned out he was a jerk so it's my fault for falling for him."
Michael tightened his grip on his brother and Josh finally wrapped his arms around Michael and hugged him.
