Bab 23: Chapter 22

Elie was woken again by his past haunting memories, he blinked his eyes so they could adjust to the dark. One good thing his horrible eyes could do was see in the blinding darkness, he could see in the dark more than anyone.

The room spined for some moments before his head settled down to a new position.

He tries to move but again his hands were tied, with chains this time. His legs too were chained to the wall.

He allowed his head to fall on the wall in attempt to calm the furious pounding, he did notice the dried blood on the back on his neck that had wet his shirt.

He was wise enough not to shout, whoever did this must have locked him far from earshot.

Was it the pope and his religious freak? Or Hector, Brad? Or a random kidnapper? He thought.

A creaking sound was heard as a head pop out from the floor. Even in the dark Elie still recognized him. Thomas.
