I woke up to these sounds the next night. It seems Dion's leaked information was really accurate. It turns out he really wasn't lying at all.

When I opened my eyes, it was the smell of blood that first greeted me.

A knock then sounded on the door just moments after I woke up.

"Your Highness." It was the head butler who knocked on the door. "Everything has been going as planned." He said from the other side of the door.

If everything has been going as planned, then that means the screams and the smell of blood I woke up to were not from the people in the von Blodd territory, but from the enemy side.

The blood I smelled was from normal humans. That means the vampire hunters from the association had been decreasing since the smell was so strong, they wouldn't have survived.
