When I arrived at the venue and entered the door to the hall, everyone looked my way, surprise marring their faces.

I ignored their reactions, or lack thereof, and started walking.

When I passed by, after their initial surprise, everybody seemed to remember themselves and who I really was that they immediately kneeled down, regardless of gender and dresses, and greeted, "Your Highness, Lady Elena."

I continued walking for a while, purposely slow, until I reached the end of the hall, before I let them stop kneeling.

I just wanted to be mean tonight. Who told you to forget who I am?

When I reached as far as I could go, I turned around, also purposely slow, to all the vampires who were still kneeling.

"You may rise." I finally said.
