Bab 887: Chapter 887: Deathtrap

Zane knew that he was walking into a deathtrap, so as they traveled, he discussed with Ian and Drax their individual roles, and his was simple: find Ellie, get her back to a car, and safely back to Pan. He was even given a sedative to use, something he hoped he did not have to resort to because he did not want to be shot while carrying the woman away.

There were few people with them, and the amount of gear they were putting on was so heavy that even Drax was refusing to wear certain pieces, saying that they would become a death magnet, which influenced Zane's decision on a lot of the things he put on himself. It was below freezing in Scleva, and they had missed a snowstorm by a few hours, so the drive into the hostile zone was a long and slow one, however, it did not stay that way.
