'Yes. Then all this would make sense. It should be a blind date. Otherwise there is no need for father to arrange for me to personally guide a young woman who is clearly around my age and from a wealthy family. Except that there are no other reasons I could find.'
Bingwen couldn't stop his mind from running wild without giving a proper reply to his father's order regarding 'blind date'.
"Xiao Wen" his father nudged his knee with his finger tip to respond.
Bingwen came back to the world and looked once again to Shao Rong to find that she was staring intently at him. Her face is well defined and beautiful but when he saw those eyes, there is clear danger in them. She is not glaring but he is subconsciously scared to look at her. There is no way he could marry her. He can't even look into her eyes, let alone take her on a date. Then there is no way that he could like her or marry her.
But how should he say that to his father? He is already scared enough of him now another woman whose voice he had yet to hear joined the pack.
'Yes, join, join. Everyone come and join the line and start scaring me. What am I even used for. Just for the amusement of everyone, so that you all can scare me and look at me like a clown to enjoy.'
'No. I am off the topic. It is not about her scaring me. It is about me marrying her. I should avoid it at all costs.'
He turned towards his father and spoke solemnly, "Father, when I go to City B I will be busy with my shooting almost all the day. How could I get time to entertain Miss Shao to sightseeing?"
'Yes. Perfect reasoning. Good job, Bingwen. I should pat my back later for my brain.'
Though he applauded himself like a child in his thoughts, he continued speaking seriously, " I cannot accompany her which will be disrespectful that I cannot make it happen. It is a matter of our family's honor."
Shao Rong raised an eyebrow and looked at Bingwen in amusement.
"So, taking back the promised hospitality is an honor to our family?" Father Sun asked back.
"Of Course not. How about we arrange someone to follow Miss Shao for her sightseeing, so that she doesn't have to care about my schedule. If there is actually any need from me, I will come to her aid." He spoke reasonably.
But who would have thought a mellow voice would float in the air as a reply, "You think I need your aide?" Shao Rong chuckled.
Bingwen is mesmerised by her voice but was confused by her statement. "Then why would you want me to follow you?"
"Master Sun, why do you think I came to you for going to City B?" she spoke calmly.
"Um" how could he say that it was because of a blind date and they want us to spend some time getting to know each other. It would be too shameful speaking those words just after rejecting to accompany her on the trip.
A slight blush crept up his cheeks unknowingly and he saw the amusement dancing in her eyes as a smirk came up her lips. Her face said that she understood everything about what he was thinking and he couldnt tolerate that but there is nothing he could do about it.
"Looks like there is some miscommunication going on between us Master Sun," she smiled a knowing smile.
"Miss Shao, you can just call him Xiao Wen like we all do. Please refrain from all the formalities with him," Father Sun spoke with utmost respect and that made Bingwen tangle in confusion.
'Xiao Wen is what all the elders call me. How can he say this woman to call him that. And we did not decide that we would get married for sure too. Is he going to force me to marry her? Even if that was the matter, how she would call me would be our personal matter. Father is not a person to meddle that far into his kid's personal affairs. So what exactly is going on?'
Bingwen couldn't get to a conclusion even after a very long monologue and for once, he couldn't mask his confusion on his face.
"Sure," she answered Father Sun and turned towards Bingwen to continue speaking, "Xiao Wen, I need to join your filming crew. So I want to follow you there as your assistant."
As soon as she said that, there was only one thing looming in his head, 'It is not a blind date' he looked at her eyes which still showed danger and then towards his father who showed immense respect towards Shao Rong, 'Of course it's not.'
