"This is so unfair."
Travis eyed the falling player, he sheathed Lumen whilst murmuring, "Because you lack strength it's unfair? You're not wrong, so grow stronger."
Abe dejectedly sighed, 'I'm no longer being used! What a cruel fate.'
Travis responded plainly, "You're more damaged than Lumen. Once I finish things here we shall head towards the Demonic Plane for the Demon Hearts with that you should be stronger than Lumen."
Faced with such a position Lumen spoke, 'Then you're going to head towards the Holy Realm to repair me! Right?'
Travis pondered momentarily, "After dealing with the Demonic Plane. . . Aboviol Soul. . ."
'. . . Right?'
"An Archangel's Soul?"
'What does a soul of an Archangel have to do with anything?'
"An Aboviol Soul is the item that can ascend Abe past his peak. I do believe an Archangel Soul will do the same to you."
'I do not consent to the death of an Archangel to empower me.'
Travis grinned, "Who said one needs to die?"
'Pardon?'
"I'll keep this info to myself for now, I'll need to find a key first."
Abe interrupted, 'When is this plan of yours going to be done anyway?'
"The Climax shall occur in three days. A worldwide change shall happen to the semi-immortals, reducing their combat power temporarily. We strike at this time, once they abide to our demands then we can head towards the Demonic Plane."
'That is sooner than expected.'
Lumen asked, 'How are you aware?'
"Let's just say because I'm a semi-immortal I can sense it. Though many others cannot."
'Then-'
"Hold that thought."
Players slowly arose from the surroundings, "Dot! You have gone too far!"
Travis merely rested his hand on the pommel of Lumen, "Oh? What exactly have I gone too far on?"
"The killing of several of our members! Making outrageous demands!"
"It's not outrageous demands, simply cease your actions on monopolizing areas and I will no longer have any issues."
"Outrageous! Such strategic places are important to our growth! We will not hand it over!"
"Are you misunderstanding? I'm not saying to give them to me, or to stop going there. I'm saying to stop preventing access to non-Guild players! Can you understand that much?"
"Sharing these resources will let others grow, we cannot have that."
"I know, by sharing these precious things you can't seem great enough for more people to join. With promises of better gear and such gathering new members is not hard. However those who genuinely wish to play by themselves struggle! Have you no remorse to those?! To those you cause the suffering to?!"
"Hmph! I will not hear your pathetic words. By targeting us lower ranked Guilds you get a sense of power don't you? Well no longer! For we gained the assistance of two top ranked Guilds! Amber Embassy and Wyvern Tail!"
More and more players began to show themselves. Their equipment having a shine to that of Exceptional and Incredible rarity. Travis sensed some raging mana amongst a few, signs of Berserk Skills about to erupt.
A player shouted, "Take off your mask! Show the world your true weakness!"
Travis hand hovered in front of his mask, "Take it off? You don't have the qualifications to demand that."
Whooom~
A pressure descended across many of the players. Most immediately collapsing, dying from the sheer pressure. Those who remained standing had above average stats and equipment, or was using a Berserk Skill. Travis received a notification, but he ignored it for now. He unsheathed a brilliant white blade with gold engravings. The sun bouncing off of it, making it seem as if it was glowing.
Lumen spoke, 'Your outfit clashes with me too much. We must gain the assistance of the Holy Ones to adjust it.'
Travis felt like the seriousness of the situation took a downturn. Ignoring the comment he turned his head and looked at hesitant players.
He spoke, "To those who still stand, carry this message to your superiors. In three days I will stand at the Plains of Plague. I challenge all of those who are against my goal to fight me together. Allow me to show you a true apex individual. Such pathetic shows of power due to your numbers are worthless. I'll be sure of that."
He condensed his War Sight onto those still standing, killing them one after the other. Yet one still stood facing the full wrath of Travis' War Sight.
Intrigued, Travis walked up to them, "You are the remaining. Why do you still stand?"
Whilst they were alive, they were in no shape to fight. Their body shaking with effort they spoke, "Why are you doing this?"
"To even the playing field. Those who muffle the growth of those who only wish to play. Those who claim to own what is not theirs. I am simply returning the favor. Giving them an ultimatum that they dislike. Having the strength to where they can only grit their teeth and oblige. If you think it's unfair, ask the forgiveness to those you turned away, those you killed to showcase your power."
"You're biting off more than you can chew."
"Everything is proceeding as I have planned. Of course I'm aware you are recording this as we speak."
The player's facial expression fluctuated before calming, "You don't know much do you? This world is bigger than you think. A mere frog in the well."
"If I am the frog, then you all are the flies stuck with me."
"You will be stopped."
"I have faced one person capable of even coming close to beating me. Not including the NPCs. None of you are capable of reaching that. And the one. . . he can no longer reach me now."
"Then remember my words, you will be buried under your own sense of power. Your greed will crush you more than we ever can and will do. In this world where anyone can be anything you must prepare for those who will surpass you."
"It seems you are as arrogant as those above you. I am that player. I am the one who surpassed you. I am the one who has become the very thing you all fear. Something you must bow down to. Something that has absolute power."
"Your power is but a mere illusion, you are aware of how weak you are in the real world."
"It's when you threaten the things beyond this game is when you have lost. You lack the power to surpass the wall that stands in your way! So instead of trying harder, you begin to find excuses and other ways!"
Travis held the tip of Lumen to the throat of the player, "That is the difference between all of you and I. I surpassed the walls that stood before me. I didn't look for other ways. Because of it I stand here."
"You-"
"I grow tired of this pointless conversation. Send the recording to your superiors. In fact, let the world know! I'll challenge those who aren't in a Guild to stop me as well! You will all die the same! The only trouble you will cause me is trying to step over your corpse."
With a flick of his wrist Travis beheaded the player. Not a single drop of blood to be seen on Lumen. He sheathed the sword, "The foundation has been set. Soon the real deal shall show itself."
Travis looked at the clouds, "Slime, will you attempt to stop me?"
~ ~ ~
Lumen felt chills, it was great! The words Travis spoke…
All of Borus' pieces that gained an ego also had a hint of uniqueness to them.
Breaker of Stars was a child-like individual who enjoyed flashy things. Anything that seemed cool to him was greatly appreciated.
Harbinger of the Abyss was an edgy kind who secretly enjoyed Travis' constant shattering of his own limits. Such showcases of power entertained him. However he always seemed cool-headed. Reluctant to show anyone this.
Lucidus Lumen wasn't without her own uniqueness. In short she was a chuni, unnecessarily large words and monologues, outfits and looks that hinted at mysteriousness and secrecy. Her own outfit was due to this.
With Travis monologue about the unfairness of the world and his position of power, it naturally struck her directly. Moreover he had the strength to back it up!
She gripped her arms, "This is so exciting. What more will you show me?"

The party looked through the window of the VIP room. Due to the long interrogation they had actually missed the third match!
It was actually the next day, and they could sense a feeling of excitement running throughout the crowd. As if they were expecting something.
Akiol sipped some tea, "The next match should be Venturing Yonder and those Bakery Basics folks Reverence warned us about."
"So why are they so excited?" Wrock asked, directing the question towards the crowd.
Kan'na chuckled, "It seems like many are jealous of Venturing Yonder and want them eliminated."
Akiol sipped his tea in silence, watching the typical start-of-match ceremony. When the match began he narrowed his eyes immediately.
Silence spread across the crowd.
The commentators were dumbstruck.
The livestream was full of question marks.
What. . . what was that?!
