Bab 127: meeting of princes (various pov)

For a while, we just walked in silence. There was no need for her to continue because I had no desire to open old wounds instead when we reached the towering gates guarded by six armed guards she paused, knowing that she would be unable to enter further.

Frustration built within me, but I ignored that. Lifting my head to gaze at the mother who will no longer constantly be by my side. 

This is OK, I thought to myself. 

I am growing and I need to depend on myself more. 

"You will be absent from my presence for an entire world cycle but I will see you during the upcoming competition,"

The aggrieved sound of her voice made me pause but I replied softly peeking from the side at this perfect sheep. I wanted to slip into her embrace but we are in public. 

"Yes, mother but I will be speaking with you every chance I have. I have also heard we will have a few suns free so perhaps.."
