Alerik became dumbfounded, the Death God's mouth was left hanging wide at the destruction that lay waste ahead of him.
"Sakj will have my head for this!"
In the same breath that he spoke, Alerik in a state of panic, snapped his finger, thus causing everything within his radius of influence to freeze. Placing the time space continuum on hold was his best chance at slowing the disaster that his moment of negligence had caused.
"If I make it out of here without getting a summon from above. I, Alerik will take to safe keeping the duties that I swore to undertake!"
The Death God made a solemn oath right there, never to take his powers for granted and to carry out his assignment faithfully.
