Bab 14: Alabasta III
Zeus was sitting across from Robin and staring into her eyes "What do you want?" Robin said as she raised her arms and crossing them, causing arms to appear around Zeus. Zeus sighed and said "Really Robin? I meant everything I said back in the cell, I'm really just here to talk to you. Not that you can hurt me anyway." Robin sneered and said "Clutch" her arms snapped Zeus in half, and Zeus' body turned into lightning and reformed as he sighed "Robin you're really breaking my heart here." Robin was shocked "You're a Logia?" Zeus chuckled and said "The one and only!" Robin put her arms down and rubbed her temples saying "What do you want from me then, you're obviously not here to take me in." Zeus clicked his tongue and said "It's much easier talking to smart people" Robin chuckled and Zeus continued "Yes obviously, I am not here as one of those mindless dogs barking at every person they see about justice, I came to talk to you I guess you can say a heart to heart. You see truthfully speaking we're quite similar me and you although I have to say your taste in humor is quite dark." Robin looked on and waited for him to continue "Although I can say that I have successfully avoided a potential buster call when I young i'm still trapped just the same whereas you have not and are relatively more free." Robin was a bit angry and said "We are not the same!" Zeus sneered and said "Really? Try being 7 years old with one of the most powerful Devil fruits in the world. As much as being wiped off the face of the earth sounds like so much fun I'd rather not have the island i was born on and grew up in, along with all my family and friends obliterated, and myself either killed or taken in as the latest brainless puppet." Robin looked confused "What do you mean?" Zeus sighed and said "Well Robin how much do you want to know? Can you keep a secret? Other than what truly happened on Ohara?" Robin was alarmed "How would you know?" Zeus chuckled and said "I know A LOT more than you'd think, I guess you could say I'm not just a pretty face? So can I trust you to keep a secret?" Robin sneered and said "You're going to trust me? A woman who betrays every group she joins?" Zeus laughed right in her face "Shishishishishi Please Robin, you can keep up the I hate the world facade in front of everyone else but you can't fool me, I know that you're really a caring woman so let's skip the needless banter, please." Robin thought for a moment and said "Fine but at least show some sincerity" as she pointed to Zeus' mask, Zeus chuckled "Oh my Robin, getting curious are we? Well it doesn't matter because it's part of the secret anyway." Zeus removed his mask, revealing his handsome face, Robin went slaw jawed and Zeus clicked his tongue "I know pretty handsome aren't I?" Robin was, needless to say, shocked and said "This is the secret?" Zeus shook his head "Only a part of it, the real secret is that I'm in the marines because I made a decision to save my brother from either an admiral or a buster call, and I'm sure you know that a little island in the east blue wouldn't even survive the first wave. As for why i'm telling you, well to be honest with you Robin I really do like you, contrary to popular belief I'm not a mindless dog of the government who eats up all the shit they're fed, and I have the brains to know that an 8 year old girl with a devil fruit that, no offense, has almost zero destructibility can possibly destroy 6 marine battle ships." Zeus sighed and shook his head "Ohara wasn't wrong, and choosing my words carefully, I would say that they didn't think of the consequences either." Robin narrowed he eyes and Zeus held up his hands in surrender before speaking again "What I mean is, not a single person thought that if, or should I say when, the government found out they would all die, tell me Robin being on the run should've given you a lot of information gathering skills, how would you infiltrate a group of archaeologists trying to figure out the truths of the void century?" Robin said "Find a weak link and gain their trust." Zeus smirked and said "Ding ding! Correct, what I'm trying to say is even if the government was too lazy and just sent a CP9 agent to steal information, there were too many weak links, too many loose ends, as soon as one person folds the rest fold as well." Robin snapped and said "So what are you saying! That people can do what they want? That they can't oppose the Government, or even have hobbies?!" Zeus stared into her eyes that were starting to tear up and said "No, what I'm saying is that you've already lost your will to fight." Robin stopped and stared at Zeus as hopped of the barrel and put his hands on her shoulders and said "What happened in Ohara was not your fault. That's not your darkness! You have to fight! You can't change what happened and I guarentee your mother didn't fight for you to lose hope like this." Zeus shook her shoulders lightly and said "Listen to me Robin. You've chosen the Strawhats, MY brother's crew, MY crew." Robin gasped as her mind clicked at those last words and Zeus continued "I, Luffy, and the rest won't let you die even if we're all annihilated along with you. I know saying that means nothing but you'll see, you don't have to keep up the facade anymore." Robin was silent and Zeus sighed as he took his hands off her shoulders "I know my saying that changes nothing but I promise..." Zeus put his mask back on and walked to the door grabbing the handle and stopping with his back still turned towards her he said "I will never let you be hurt. Not in 'This' lifetime." and walked out the door leavinf Robin lost in her thoughts. Zeus walked back to the Marine ships and went to sleep.
2 days passed
Zeus was currently pacing back and forth in Smoker's office while a cigarette in his mouth, "Fuck me Smokey you better pray she's stupid enough to not realize." Zeus stopped and turned to Smoker "Yo Smokey how are we gonna communicate?" Smoker froze and said "Hand signals. If I say say something good you give me a thumbs up" Zeus slapped Smoker and then slapped himself "Smokey no offense but that's the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard." Smoker usually would've gotten angry but he was stressed at the moment, Zeus stopped and said "That's it." Smoker had a bad feeling and said "What?" Zeus gulped and said "I give up, I'm calling Tashigi" Zeus turned and yelled out the door "TASHIGI GET YOUR FUCKING ASS OVER HERE, AND FAST!" A few moments later Tashigi walked into Smoker's office and saw Zeus and Smoker nervously sitting down and smoking she gulped and said "W-What is it Captain?" Smoker was silent and Zeus said "We havean important mission." Tashigi was sweating a bit, what could cause Smoker and Zeus to be this nervous "What's the mission Sir?" Zeus looked at Smoker and took a deep breath and said "Sit down and close the door Tashigi." Tashigi closed the door and sat down and Zeus spoke again "So due to Smokey's own fault-" Smoker growled dangerously as he glared at Zeus, "Ahem* Due to partially my and Smokey's fault we're in a dilemma." Tashigi yelped "What did you guys do?" Zeus cleared his throat "Well 3 days ago Smoker called Hina over the phone and I may have forced him to ask her out for a meal." Zeus took a deep breath before continuing with a serious face "The thing is Hina agreed, and it comes to my attention that Smoker does not know how to go on dates, nor how to talk to women. That's where you come in." Tashigi was really struck dumb, she turned her head to Smoker and then Zeus and snapped "YOU FUCKING CALLED ME HERE AND MADE ME ANXIOUS FOR DATING TIPS YOU FUCKING MORONS!" Zeus and Smoker shared a look of surprise Before turning to Tashigi and saying in unison "Yes" Tashigi slumped in her chair and whimpered "This is what I get for joining the marines..."
A very infuriating hour later
Zeus was smashing his face against Smoker's desk and almost crying "Smokey Holy shit you're practicing with Tashigi why are you nervous Hina is about 11.5 times hotter than her." Tashigi hissed "Hey!" Zeus ignored her and continued "Why did you ask her out if you have absolutely no idea what you're supposed to say or do?" Smoker snapped "YOU GOADED ME INTO IT YOU BASTARD!" Zeus snapped back "I THOUGHT YOU HAD HALF A FUCKING BRAIN YOU MORON!" before slumping in his chair and taking a deep breath "Alright alright let's calm down and go over the imformation, 1 Hina for whatever reason already likes you and I can see the feeling is mutual" Smoker blushed a bit, and Zeus continued "2 You've got the basics down, and 3 you have a nice outfit that doesn't make you look like a menacing Smokey bastard." Zeus nodded and said "Alright as long as nothing changes and there are no unstable variables everything will be alright." just at that moment the door to Smokers Office opened revealing Hina in a Pink dress that wrapped around her body showing off her curves and cut off at her mid thigh, showing off her legs with red high heels and a small black wallet. Zeus was in a daze looking at her before he gulped and turned to Smoker and said "Sorry Smokey but you're completely Fucked."
A few hours later Smoker walked into a restaurant with Hina. Smoker went over to a table and pulled out Hina's chair for her causing her to raise and brow in surprise, before he sat down himself. Smoker scanned the restaurant before finding a big table and his pupils shrank, sitting at the big table was Zeus, who still had his mask on but was wearing a t-shirt, that said 'OU BABY' on it and black glasses with a fake nose and mustache attached to it, sitting in front of Zeus was Tashigi with casual clothes as well and the same black glasses on, but that wasn't what caught Smoker's attention, No, what made him angry was the fact that Zeus was sitting with the ENTIRE Strawhat crew who wear also all wearing black glasses with fake noses and mustaches and the worst part was that they were all giving him a thumbs up from behind Hina's back. Smoker was about to go up and punch Zeus right in the face when Hina spoke up "So Smoker-kun what have you been up to?" Smoker sighed and said "You know chasing after pirates those damn Strawhats just saved this country and there's no doubt that the higher ups are going to pin it on me" Hina gave Smoker a small smile and said "Hina thinks that you shouldn't be worried about it, Smoker-kun we'll just catch them before they leave Alabasta. I have my ships off the port anyway." Smoker, Tashigi, Zeus, and the rest of the Strawhats froze. Smoker chuckled and said "Yea we will." The waiter finally came out and asked them what they wanted to eat Smoker mentioned to Hina so she could order first before ordering himself. Tashigi and Zeus gave Smoker a big thumbs up, before Hina spoke again "Alright Smoker-kun tell me the truth." Tashigi and Zeus tensed up "When did you start to show your feelings?" Tashigi and Zeus almost fell to the floor, Smoker on the other hand seriously thought about it and said "Honestly probably around when that stupid brat joined me as a lieutenant." Hina giggled a bit and Zeus and Tashigi's jaws dropped, the rest of the Strawhats turned to look at Zeus. Zeus whispered "I think this is the first time anyone's seen her laugh." The rest of the Strawhats gasped, and turned back to Smoker and Hina. Smoker was currently in a daze staring at Hina before Hina smirked and snapped her fingers in front of Smoker's face and said "Smoker-kun it's impolite to stare." Smoker blushed and said almost automatically "I know Kurama and Tashigi already told me that." The air stilled and everyone froze. Zeus, Tashigi, and the rest of the Strawhats all facepalmed, Zeus facepalmed so hard he almost broke his fake glasses, Hina heard the sound and turned around. Everyone at Zeus' table scrambled and lifted a menu to cover their faces. Hina almost laughed before turning to Smoker and saying "What's going on here Smoker-kun?" Smoker sighed and said "When we were on the phone Kurama told me to ask you out, he said that you liked me and since I liked you too, I did what he said and he and Tashigi have been teaching me manners all day" Hina's face was completely red, she stuttered "Y-You like Hina?" Smoker was confused and didn't know what to say, and a cup flew right through his head as Zeus motioned to Smoker to kiss her, seeing Smoker was still confused, Zeus sighed and grabbed Nami said "Sorry I still think of you as a little sister" and kissed her, then looked at Smoker and pointed at Hina, before smashing face first into the table courtesy of Nami. Smoker gulped and looked at Hina, who still had a red face and was looking at Smoker, he gulped and took a deep breath and leaned over the table and kissed Hina's lips. Hina was absolutely stunned before she closed her eyes and kissed him back, they both backed off and smiled at each other before hearing the cheers behind them, they turned to look and saw Zeus table cheering and high-fiving each other and saying "Mission successful" Hina was annoyed and embarrassed and Smoker was just fuming. Hina and Smoker looked at each other and smirked before walking over to Zeus table, Zeus noticed and stopped cheering abruptly as everybody else caught on and started sweating. Zeus spoke up "Hello Mr. and Mrs. Might I just say you two look excellent together." The rest of the group at his table nodded nervously, Hina sneered and said "Well thank you Sir. Are these all your siblings? Hina thinks you look very similar." Zeus put his hands on his hips and huffed "Mrs I will not tolorate anybody making fun of my family like that" He pointed to all the people at the table and introduced them "This is my mother Mona, my sister Mina, my uncle Mark, my cousin Park, My brother Lark and our pet Bob." Zeus then sighed and said "My father he is currently extremely ill at the hospital down the road." he turned to the rest and stood up saying "We've had enough food we need to keep the rest of the money for Dad's hospital fees lets go back, our one hour a day break is over." The rest of the group caught on and nodded sadly and stood up to walk out of the restaurant, while Hina and Smoker were stunned, the Straw hats made it out of the restaurant but Zeus and Tashigi were caught, Zeus screamed "Go on without me! Don't forget me I'll always live on in your hearts!" Zeus teared up and gave a last salute before slumping to the ground. Hina and Smoker were laughing evilly, while Tashigi and Zeus were sweating bullets, Zeus gulped and said "I don't suppose you need a guard for the bedroom tonight?" Hina's face went red and Smoker was momentarily stunned, Zeus grabbed Tashigi and ran away, while Smoke grabbed Hina by the waist and chased Zeus into the night.
The next day was standing on one of Hina's marine ships, standing next to smoker with bumps all over his head. Smoker was sitting listening to a Den Den Mushi. "Congratulations on Capturing Crocodile and Saving Alabasta." Smoker growled "That wasn't me it was the Straw Hats!" the voice continued "In light of your recent achievements You, Lieutenant Kurama, and Sgt. Major Tashigi will all be getting promotions of one rank." Zeus clapped and said "Wow i'm a captain now! Can't wait to get another promotion for doing absolutely nothing!" Smoker chuckled and the voice said "You are expected to return to base and accept a medal Commodore Smoker" Smoker snorted and said "Can you pass something to the higher ups?" Hina said "Smoker-kun don't!" Smoker sneered and said "Tell them to go fuck themselves." and hung up the Den Den Mushi, Hina sighed and looked worried, while Zeus was laughing his ass off, he walked over to Hina and put his arm on her shoulder and said to her "We can worry about the consequences later but you have to admit that was pretty badass." Smoker smirked and Hina smiled, as she said "Yea that was pretty cool." Zeus shook his head and chuckled "Alright love birds do what you want" he turned his head and yelled "TASHIGI GET THE FUCK OVER HERE!" Tashigi came running and tripped over her feet falling flat on her face right in front of Zeus, Zeus started laughing his ass off and Tashigi got up from the floor embarrassed and said "What happened?" Zeus rubbed the bottom of his mask and chuckled "Well Lieutenant Tashigi, me, you, and Smokey all got one rank promotions for capturing Crocodile and saving Alabasta and Smokey told the higher ups to go fuck themselves so i's say we're doing pretty good." Tashigi heard that and slumped down to her knees and whimpered "Join the marines they said, It'll be fun they said." Zeus chuckled and said to Smoker and Hina "Alright lovebirds look alive we've got Strawhats to 'capture'" as he walked to the front of the boat, and looked out to the sea.
A while later
Zeus finally saw the Merry and pulled out a Speaker Mushi, "Oi ya Strawhat bastards you're all under arrest! Remember the one who captured you was the legendary Kurama! Definitely don't escape or i'll have to hunt you down again!" Zeus put down the Speaker and started laughing. The straw hats sailed and dodged the literal spikes being shot at them, Zeus turned around and snapped "Which one of you retards loaded spikes into the cannons?! We're trying to capture not kill you fucking morons!" The marines were shaking and Zeus said "Fuck it i'll show you why they call me 'White Lightning'!" Zeus got up on the railing and started crackling with electricity, he grabbed the air and thunder spear appeared, he grabbed the spear and shot it through the air missing the merry by a hair and hitting one of the other marine battleships. Zeus said "Ah fuck my bad, let me try again." he threw another spear and it whizzed through the air right over Luffy's head and smashed into two more battle ships as he cursed as he swung his arm in a circle "Fuck! I'm off today" Zeus kept throwing spears sometimes hitting the water pushing away the battle ships and sometimes hitting the projectiles that were flying towards the Merry. Zeus picked up the Speaker and said "Oi you! On the battleship near the strawhats! Can't you see i'm firing here?! What are you getting in the way for?!" While he was speaking he threw another spear but this time just straight up flew right through the marine battleship, Smoker watched this and rubbed his temples as he sighed and said "You're not even trying to be discreet anymore" Zeus continued "OI! YOU STUPID CHORE BOY WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THE WATER! DON'T YOU KNOW ITS CONDUCTIVE?! WE'RE CATCHING PIRATES, NOT SWIMMING AT THE KIDDY POOL!" Zeus threw a spear into the sky causing a cloud to rain down lighting every where around the strawhats except on their boat. The Strawhats meanwhile we're watching with wide eyes and waiting for Vivi. Zeus saw a ship sailing towards them and he yelled over the Speaker "Hey you damn okama don't you get any closer to me. Theres a marine Captain on this ship, and she only likes guys who smoke TWO cigars!" The marines laughed and Hina was about to beat the shit out of Zeus, but Bon clay jumped from his ship on to the ship Hina, Zeus, Tashigi, and Smoker were on and said "Kurama-chan I'm going to distract you until the StrawHats escape!" as he kicked towards Zeus, who flashed away causing Bon clay to kick Hina instead. Hina used her devil fruit and caged him, while everybody was looking at him, Zeus sighed and smacked his head "Damn it Bon clay what are you doing I almost had those damn Straw hats!" causing Hina, Smoker, and Tashigi to roll their eyes. Bon clay, however, nodded his head and said "I know, I had to distract you so you wouldn't catch them! You're so scary!" Zeus had a smug grin as he looked to the marine trio and said "See that? This newly promoted Captain is a scary and powerful guy Shishishishishi" The trio sighed and noticed that the strawhats escaped as they brought Bon clay to the cells. Zeus turned to the marines and said "What are you gawking at you damn maggots get the fuck out of here!" The marines nodded fearfully and all ran away, as Zeus was chuckling and walking towards Smoker's Office.
In Smoker's office, Zeus was sitting in a chair smoking while Smoker was on the phone with Sengoku. "So you're telling me they escaped?" Smoker nodded and said "Yeah we were distracted by an okama but we got him." Sengoku sighed, and Zeus spoke up "Oi! gramps let me go after them! I'll catch them this time!" Smoker gave Zeus a weird look and Sengoku grunted "You damn brat you'd better catch them this time" Zeus grinned and said "Of course, but I'm more than enough alone!" Sengoku nodded and said "Alright, Smoker I want you back at base immediately." and he hung up. Smoker turned to Zeus and said "Why did you help the StrawHats, you were specifically letting them escape." Zeus hesitated before locking the door and turning to Smoker "Listen Smokey you know you're my best friend right?" Smoker nodded and Zeus continued "What do you think of the Marines and the World Government?" Smoker looked around and answered "Terrible, warping news in their favor and doing whatever they want." Zeus nooded and said "I would like you to know that the World government will do whatever they can to get something they want, by any means necessary. You remember Nico Robin right?" Smoker nodded "Yea Crocodile's assistant." Zeus took a long drag and exhaled the smoke and said "Well let me tell you a story..." Zeus told Smoker what really happened with Ohara and why Nico Robin had a bounty at the tender age of 8.
Smoker was shocked, and Zeus finished "Yeah pretty bad right?" Smoker asked "Why are you telling me this?" Zeus sighed and moved his hand up to take his mask off and said "Because Smokey, If i didn't join the marines I probably would've had the same fate, or even worse." Smoker was shocked and Zeus chuckled and continued "A small island and everyone on it disappearing and being branded as devils trying to destroy the world just to catch a boy with an 'invincible' Devil fruit, doesn't seem like the smartest option but it was definitely a huge possibility, and not one I was gonna take a gamble with." Smoker looked at Zeus and said "So you've been hiding in the marines?" Zeus shook his head and said "Partially, I've also been training and getting stronger so I could live without being hunted down like a rat. I fit makes you feel any better you're the only Marine other than Garp, who's my actual grandpa, that knows my secret." Smoker snorted and looked a little angry "So you're roping me in? What if I turn you in?" Zeus chuckled and said "I wasn't lying about you being my best friend, I'm willing to take a gamble that you take this with you to the grave. Oh yeah, before I forget," Zeus reached into his coat and pulled out a box of Alabastan Cigars and said "Nice to meet you Smokey my name is Monkey D. Zeus" as he handed the box over and chuckled, Smoker smirked and took the cigars before saying "Damn brat not so mysterious now eh?" Zeus scratched the back of his head and blushed before grinning and saying "Damn smokey bastard, can't let me be cool for a single second." Smoker chuckled and said "Shouldn't you be 'chasing' the Straw Hats now?" Zeus clicked his tongue and put his mask on while moving towards the door, he stopped before the door with his hand on the handle and choked out "T-Thanks Smokey." Smoker looked at his back and Zeus continued "Thanks for everything, I'll see you in the New World." before he opened the door and walked out adding "Don't forget that you owe me one for Hina!" as he disappeared into the air. Smoker looked at the box of cigars and sighed putting them in his drawer at his desk, before leaning back and mumbling "Be safe you damn brat."
Zeus was on his cloud and finally landed on top of the Merry's mast, at the same time robin walked out of the storage room on to the deck. The group noticed the stowaway and all yelped, Nami said "What are you doing on our boat?" Robin chuckled lightly and said "I'm a stowaway obviously and you'll have to ask your captain, after what he did to me, he should of expected this." the crew was shocked but before they could question Luffy, lightning struck right next to Robin, making her flinch a bit, and revealed Zeus as he said "Ora Ora, she's not the only stowaway ya know?" he grinned and threw his arm around Robin's shoulder and laughed "Shishishishi!"

Monkey_Godking Hey guys! Last chapter of the 'day' Sorry if this chapter kind feels repetitive with Him explaining who he is to Robin and Smoker, Zeus told Robin because she was smart enough to figure it out and Smoker because well, He's his best friend, I'm gonna make Smoker a little more important in my story because I think he's a cool guy what are you gonna do about it?!
Next chapter were going on to Jaya and Skypeia Big surprise in skypeia I hope it works out and you guys like it
ALSO important question do you guys think if you get a robotic limb while you're a logia it would become like your flesh and blood limb? meaning it would be a logia too?
