"Have you too, stopped loving me?"

Madam Mu stilled, her gaze tightly kept on the table as Liu Ximeng's words hit the air. How long had it been since this man arrived on this island?

The island had turned from a single person prison into one of the most prolific islands to cater to pirates' needs and whims.

Hope had slowly turned into self-loath, and now she only felt resentment.

But Liu Ximeng was here now, old, greying, pitifully hollow in his dark robes.

Madam Mu felt her heart fill with satisfaction - and break, seeing the shell that was Liu Ximeng.
