As soon as he signed it, the contract burnt. The laws around the four Semi-Celestials changed as it happened. It was a contract made with a Semi-Celestial power that could bind a Semi-Celestial, so this much was expected. Finally, the rules were bound to their souls, and if they didn't want to suffer the backlash, they would have to follow them.

Turen sighed in relief after the contract took effect. This was all but a bet. If the Underworld Semi-Celestials had betrayed him and called the other Semi-Celestials, even Turen wouldn't be able to escape. However, the Universe Foundation Fragment did have enough appeal to prevent the Underworld Semi-Celestials from doing that.
