"Tell us why you brought Wolves into our sanctuary,'' Rand asks me, it almost feels like he is scolding me. Blaming me for what happened. I want to shout to them that the person responsible for all this is probably someone in the community. I wish they would see that this doesn't have anything to do with the wolves.

"I wanted to introduce them to my mother,'' I tell them even though that is pretty much a lie. I don't want them to know that they came here on their own. I need them to look as innocent as possible.

"Did you get approval for this, knowing how we all feel about the wolves?''
