Bab 88: Mind Spider
After talking for a little while, Ning Muqin left her son to his own devices. She could finally relax and sleep in bed peacefully.
Ning Luoxue sat by himself in his room, contemplating what his mother told him.
"Revenge? Ai, no, no! At most, we'll ask for an apology. You're the one that asked for it after all."
He let out a sigh. His mother's words relieved him.
"Haah, I really have been a total asshat."
Right before he passed out, he saw his entire life flash before him, regretting deeply the years he had been a douchebag.

Of course, Ning Luoxue didn't get gynophobia. He was more afraid of the one protecting that woman, whether it be her parents, her siblings, et cetera... In any case, one mistake of his could lead to death, as he learned during the past week.
"Mom also said that... my constitution had been improved by the pill?" Ning Luoxue had this point stuck in his head for a long time.
He closed his eyes and scanned his own body. "--! It's true!"
When he woke up, everything felt unfamiliar, even his own body. Now, he knew the reason.
"That means... I will expel the impurities in qi as fast as normal cultivators now? Whilst keeping my accelerated speed? That's awesome!"
He smirked. "Since this is the case, maybe I can... take revenge on that guy that led me to near death..."
After thinking about it, he shook his head, dispelling any thoughts of revenge.
"Forget about that, my mom will kill me if I do that. What I need to do, first and foremost, is to thank the pill refiner that made the Body Reconstruction Pill.
It's also almost time for the second round of the Annual Yanying City Tournament. I need to readjust myself quickly..."

Lan Xiang arrived at his yard safely.

Yawning, he headed to his room. It was a few hours from nighttime, yet Xie Jian was still sleeping even though she started sleeping at noon.

Thinking about it now, he flinched and quickly removed the robe off his body.
He also removed his clothing inside the robe. It was soaked in sweat, evidence of the labor he went through the entire afternoon.
As he took off his shirt, he noticed a black pattern tattooed on his arm. It started from his wrist and extended all the way to his neck. "...What's this?"
He stroked it with his finger. All of a sudden, an image entered his mind. It was the Spider Loli, sleeping in some kind of void.
She sat up and rubbed her eyes, stretching her hands and yawning.
"Hwaah... Master?"
"W, what?" Lan Xiang's heart beat rapidly. He was still a little intimidated by the Spider Queen. After all, he'd only subdued her due to luck. "What is this...? Where are you?"
"Hmm? I'm living inside you, master~"
"Inside me?" Lan Xiang calmed himself down.
"Hmm, didn't I say I'd always be around?" A soft chuckle came out of her lips.
"That's...! You're inside me, not around me!"
"Let's forget about the technicalities~"
Lan Xiang was dumbfounded. This Spider Loli is more playful than I thought...!
"Wait, ahem, your name, what is it?" He realized that he had been calling her either Spider Loli or Spider Queen inside his mind. Surely, this wasn't her actual name, was it?
"I don't have a name." The Spider Queen didn't think too much into it. She was a Fairy after all, and was a Spirit before. Both of those beings had no need for names.
"Then, what should I call you?"
"How about you give me a name?" She got a little excited.
"Hmm, then I'll call you Hei Zhizhu."
"..."
"H-how about Xuan Zhizhu?" Seeing her blank reaction made Lan Xiang change his lackadaisical attitude about her name.
"..."
'Why, why is she still silent?!' Lan Xiang started feeling anxious.
On the other hand, the Spider Queen felt an unexpected wave of emotions from being given a name. And so, she couldn't respond for a while until now. "...You can call me anything you like, master~"
Ah? She's not mad? Lan Xiang scratched his head. "Then, you're Xuan Zhizhu from now on!"
'Xuan Zhizhu, hmm...' As she kept thinking about it, a smile slowly showed up on her face.
Meanwhile, Lan Xiang shivered. What a scary grin!
"I'll, uh, leave now..." He bit his lip. How the hell do I leave this place...?
"Wait, Master! Don't leave yet." Xuan Zhizhu cleared her throat. "I have a request."
'Does she mean... she won't let me leave if I don't accept her request?' Lan Xiang flinched. 'This Xuan Zhizhu is so sinister!'
"It's like this. Uhm, I was studying your qi while idling around in here, and I was wondering if... you'd teach me how you cultivated this qi?" For the first time in her existence, Xuan Zhizhu felt nervous.
"Yes, yes! I'll do it!"
His instant answer surprised Xuan Zhizhu. "Well, thanks in advance!"
Lan Xiang felt cold sweat run down his back when he heard that she was studying his qi while in here. That meant that she had access to his body; who knew what kind of damage she could do if he didn't agree?! He had no choice.
Plus, it was about time he taught someone to gain some teach points. Since every one of his friends had their own cultivation technique, he couldn't possibly break their cultivation and reset their progress just to make them cultivate using his How to Cultivate for Dummies technique.
This spider loli, even though she already had a huge amount of qi and incredible strength, she had technically never cultivated before. 'Hm, this deal isn't so bad for me after all. I get to avoid dying, and I acquired a lab rat as well!'
Lan Xiang thought of what techniques he could teach the others aside from their cultivation techniques. 'How about Pill Refinement Notes for Jian'er? It's much better than her current technique.'
